It’s time to mark your calendar - and come celebrate an exciting chapter in Glenuig’s story.

On Wednesday 6th August, the Glenuig Community Inn Benefit Society is throwing open the doors of the Inn for a special Open Day - and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a shareholder, a neighbour, a regular visitor, or just curious about what’s happening in our wee corner of the West Highlands, we’d love to see you there.

What to expect? We’ll be getting started from midday, with free nibbles throughout the day for those joining us to celebrate. The restaurant will be open with limited menu from 6pm, and the drinks will be flowing as we raise a glass to the incredible community support that’s brought us this far.

We’re still fundraising to help secure a vibrant, community-led future for the Inn, and we’ll be on hand to chat with anyone interested in finding out how to get involved. It’s not too late to support the buyout and become part of this exciting journey.

There’ll be laid-back jazz in the afternoon, with the mood shifting to traditional tunes from around 4pm onwards. A proper Highland knees-up in the making! We’re also expecting a couple of special guests to stop by during the day, including Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes, who’s shown fantastic support for the buyout campaign.

This is more than just a celebration - it’s a chance to come together, connect, and look ahead to what’s possible when a community takes the lead.

Note: Our usual Tuesday bingo night will be taking a short break and is now scheduled for next week instead — so all eyes can be on the Open Day festivities!

Whether you drop in for a quick cuppa or stay for the evening music, we can’t wait to welcome you.

See you on the 6th!
