Why This Role Matters

The Glenuig Inn has stood at the head of Glenuig Bay for centuries, offering shelter, stories and a warm welcome to travellers from near and far. Now, thanks to incredible community support, we’re taking the next step to bring the Inn into full community ownership.

This is where you come in. As Project Officer, you’ll be right at the heart of this transformation, helping us shape the future of the Inn and make sure it thrives for generations to come.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days will be the same, but you can expect to:

  • Support the community buyout process and keep everything on track

  • Work with our committee, partners and locals to deliver our vision

  • Help bring in new ideas that connect the Inn with the wider community and visitors alike

  • Celebrate successes (possibly with cake...we’re a big fan of cake)

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who’s organised, creative, and full of spark. You don’t need to know everything about community buyouts already – what matters is your energy, ideas, and willingness to dive in.

The Perks

Aside from being part of something truly historic, here’s what’s on offer:

  • £225 per day – freelance & flexible

  • A workplace backdrop of the Sound of Arisaig (beats fluorescent lights any day)

  • A community full of warmth, energy, and the occasional fiddle tune

Ready to Apply?

If you’re looking for a role that mixes meaningful impact with the adventure of Highland life, we’d love to hear from you.

Deadline: 31 August 2025

Join us, and be part of history in the making.
