Inn-Spired by Community, Rooted in Tradition

As the summer season draws to a close, Glenuig Inn has been as lively as ever; full of music, laughter, good food and plenty of community spirit. September has reminded us what the Inn is all about: a place where people gather, connect, and feel at home.

At the heart of the kitchen

Our kitchen team have been celebrating the season’s best local and foraged produce. From late summer brambles to the first of the autumn mushrooms, Tomasz has been creating dishes that showcase the flavours of the land and sea around us. Heather has kept mornings and lunchtimes full of warmth with her hearty plates, while committee member Sarah has been making sure the wheels keep turning behind the scenes. With managers Ryan and Steph and the brilliant front of house team tying it all together, the Inn has continued to feel like the heart of the village.

A hub for music, sport and community

The events calendar this month has been buzzing. Jam sessions brought fiddles, guitars and spoons to the bar, while screenings of rugby and football gave everyone an excuse to gather round and cheer. Add in evenings of music, stories and plenty of laughter, and it’s easy to see why the Inn is more than just a place to eat and drink, it’s a place where community happens.

If you couldn’t make it along, our latest blogs capture some of the atmosphere so you can still get a flavour of what you missed.

Share offer and donations

As we look back on a busy summer, our focus is firmly on the future. A wee reminder for anyone who pledged to buy shares: if you haven’t received your follow-up email, please check your inbox (and the spam folder, just in case). Still nothing? Drop us a line at shares@glenuigcommunityinn.org and we’ll make sure it’s sorted.

And if you didn’t pledge but still want to help, it’s not too late. Every donation, big or small, helps bring us closer to securing the Inn for the community and keeping this spirit alive for generations to come.

Thank you

Most importantly, thank you. Whether you joined us for a meal, played a tune, pledged shares, or simply spread the word, you’ve been part of our September story. The Inn is more than just a building, it’s the beating heart of our community, and with your support, we’ll keep it that way.
