Inn-Spired by Community, Rooted in Tradition
We’re excited to share some big news...Glenuig Community Inn has been shortlisted as one of three finalists for the Most Enterprising Community Award at the 2025 Scotland Loves Local Awards! 💙

The Scotland Loves Local Awards celebrate the people, projects and places that make communities across Scotland thrive. Organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership and supported by the Scottish Government, the awards shine a light on innovation, collaboration and local action that improves lives and builds stronger, more sustainable communities.
A small place doing big things
To see Glenuig named alongside projects from across the country - Ochiltree Community Hub in East Ayrshire and Peterhead Area Community Trust in Aberdeenshire - is an incredible recognition of what our small West Highland community has achieved together.
From re-opening the Inn and rebuilding it as a community-owned asset, to creating jobs, welcoming visitors, and hosting live music, events and gatherings that bring people together, this nomination is a celebration of everyone who’s played a part in our journey so far.
National spotlight on community spirit
The winners will be announced next month at a special Parliamentary Reception in Edinburgh, where communities from across Scotland will come together to celebrate their collective achievements.
Whatever the outcome, it’s inspiring to see Glenuig on the national stage, showing what’s possible when people unite with a shared vision.
Thank you
This recognition belongs to our entire community, to the volunteers, staff, shareholders, visitors, and supporters near and far who have helped keep the heart of Glenuig beating.
No matter what happens next month, we’re already proud of how far we’ve come together.
