What a journey it’s been.
It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago, we were receiving the keys and signing the lease for Glenuig Inn. Back then, we were already making headlines, with coverage from The Press & Journal, The Oban Times, and even BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Alba highlighting the start of our campaign and the strength of the Glenuig community.
Since then, the momentum has only grown. From launching our community share offer and Crowdfunder, to live sessions in the bar, kitchen refurb plans, and now, a packed summer of music and energy, this campaign has become a movement.

Thanks to you, we’ve raised over £281,000 in community share applications, with more than £13,700 in Crowdfunder pledges and £3,500 in direct donations, and counting. It’s an extraordinary show of community spirit and belief in what this place can be.
🗓 Share Offer Deadline: Monday 30th June
Our community share offer closes at the end of this month. If you’ve been meaning to apply, now is the time! Every share purchased brings us closer to reducing reliance on loans and securing the Inn’s future in local hands.👉 Apply or find out more here

📢 Looking Ahead: Scottish Land Fund Update
We’re currently awaiting the outcome of our grant application to the Scottish Land Fund, which we hope to hear about soon. A successful outcome would be a major step forward in making community ownership a reality. We’ll keep you posted!
As we approach the final stage of the campaign, we’re reminded that this is about more than buying an Inn. It’s about keeping the doors open to music, connection, and community for generations to come.
Thank you for being part of the story so far.
With gratitude,
The Glenuig Inn Community Buyout Team💛
