A lasting mark of support: Glenuig Community Inn wooden plaques

At long last, many of the dedicated wooden plaques purchased by supporters are now proudly displayed in the bar at Glenuig Community Inn.

Each plaque tells a small part of a much bigger story. Ordered by locals, long-time visitors and friends of the Inn from much further afield, including supporters in New Zealand, during our original Crowdfunder for the buyout, they are a quiet but powerful reminder of just how widely loved the Inn is.

The plaques themselves are simple, tactile and made to last. Each one measures 300mm wide by 100mm high, with a depth of 20mm, and is pyro-marked with a name or short dedication of up to 40 characters. Once complete, it is permanently mounted on the bar wall, becoming part of the fabric of the Inn for years to come.

Choosing a plaque is a meaningful way to show your support for our community run Inn. Some mark family connections, others celebrate memories made at the Inn, and many simply say “we believe in this place”. Together, they form a growing record of the people who helped secure the Inn’s future.

If you would like to add your own dedication to the wall, plaques are available for £250.

Whether your connection to the Inn is daily, seasonal or from afar, a plaque offers a permanent way to be part of its story.
